Since opening its doors in September 2017, Rainhill Bunny Hotel has been a home-away-from-home for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and all kinds of small pets while their humans take a holiday. Located in the peaceful surroundings of Norlands Lane, Rainhill, our boarding service was founded by Niki and Alec Davies out of pure love for animals and a desire to give pet owners peace of mind while they’re away.

Today, the hotel is run by a close-knit team of passionate carers:

Our main carer and animal care enthusiast is Tegan; an 18-year-old who has a deep-rooted dedication to animal welfare. She recently completed her Level 3 Animal Management qualification at Cronton College, earning an DDM grade. With over seven years of hands-on experience volunteering at the Rainhill Bunny Hotel, Tegan has developed a compassionate approach to caring for small mammals. Her blend of academic knowledge and practical expertise makes her a rising star in the field of animal management, with a special focus on enrichment and ethical care.

 

  Lisa and Ellie Turner, and Alec Davies have all been a part of Rainhill Bunny Hotel since it opened, all having many years experience with a variety of animals.  Together, we treat every animal like family—with a focus on comfort, hygiene, and plenty of cuddles. Whether it’s a weekend trip or a longer getaway, we make sure your little companions are safe, happy, and well looked after; looking after animals is something we have done our whole life and we love it!
